Asi Ultra Marathon

Launched in 2025, ASI Ultra Marathon is a 3-day stage race covering 160 km through Greenland’s spectacular Arctic wilderness between Kangerlussuaq and Sisimiut. Following the famous Arctic Circle Trail, runners traverse frozen lakes, river valleys, and snow-covered mountain passes while experiencing the vast silence of Greenland’s backcountry.

Organised by Arctic Sport International in collaboration with local operators, the event takes place each March, when the returning sun lights the landscape in long golden hours and the Northern Lights still dance in the night sky. Competitors run fully supported through mobile camps and experience authentic Greenlandic hospitality from the local logistics team.

Participation is limited to just 24 runners, making the ASI Ultra Marathon one of the most exclusive and immersive running adventures in the Arctic.
