Sisimiut Private Boat Safari

Sisimiut Private Boat Safari offers private and small-group (max 4 pax) sailing adventures out of Sisimiut. Jan Banemann has been working these waters for more than 35 years and knows the best places to fish for Arctic Char, salmon, cod, redfish, halibut and wolffish. You can also gather sea urchins or blue mussels with him.

With a flat, per-hour rate, you can design your own itinerary to also visit settlements or remote locations near the Arctic Circle, or photo “hunt” marine life on a sea safari. 

Jan is also an integral part of Sisimiut’s initiative to clean up nearby waterways. He and two other workers head out regularly during the summer months to collect mostly fishing-related plastic along the extensive shorelines of the region.
